Table Mountain dominates the scenery in Cape Town. It's large and has a flat top, known as the Table top. We decided to climb it!

Whilst in the taxi to Table Mountain, we could see the mountain's prominence as it towered above the city. Constantly in view, there was no escaping it!

The walk through Platteklip Gorge was challenging right from the start. It was steep nearly the whole way and got tougher towards the top.

Fantastic views from the top of Table Mountain. Well worth the walk.

The cable car at the top was closed, so there was no choice other than to walk down. All of us were completely fatigued by the time we finished, and we had sore leg muscles for days after.
